The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taiwan has established and funded the MOFA Taiwan Fellowship 2025. This Fully Funded fellowship is available for international Foreign Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Post-Doctoral researchers, Doctoral Candidates, or Doctoral program students to conduct research at universities or academic institutions in Taiwan. The research should focus on Taiwan, cross-strait relations, the Asia-Pacific region, or Sinology (Chinese studies).

Since its inception, more than 1,400 researchers from over 93 countries have been accepted until 2024. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs covers the cost of round-trip airfare, provides a generous monthly stipend, and includes accident and medical insurance. How to submit a 2025 MOFA Taiwan Fellowship application
Applicants must first submit an online application form. After completing the online form, applicants should print it and send it along with the required documents to the nearest Taiwan Embassy, Consulate, or Representative Office by post.
