If a student qualifies for a Presidential Scholarship through the TTU Presidential Scholarship program, this offer supersedes any other Presidential scholarship offers.
Presidential Merit Scholarships apply exclusively to programs of study at Texas Tech University. It's important to note that scholarships awarded by Texas Tech University do not extend to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), Texas Tech Costa Rica, or Angelo State University.
Eligibility Requirements for the 2024 Texas Tech University Presidential Scholarship
Beyond test scores and class rank, eligibility for the Texas Tech University Presidential Scholarship requires incoming freshmen or first-year college students (college credits earned through dual-credit, CLEP, or AP do not disqualify applicants). Throughout their TTU academic career, recipients must:
- Maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) as specified on the “Terms and Conditions” tab of MyTech.
- Sustain full-time enrollment in a Texas Tech University academic program and accrue at least 30 TTU hours per year (verified in May).
- Keep addresses, including email addresses, up to date on MyTech.
- Write a thank-you letter to the scholarship donor when directed by the Texas Tech University Scholarship Office.
- Attend required donor events.
