Eligibility Criteria for Applicants from the Mentioned Countries
Age Requirements:
Applicants must be 18 years old when starting their scholarship in New Zealand. If 17, they must reach their 18th birthday before the start of the scholarship in Semester one. The maximum age limit is 40 years.
Work Experience Requirements:
- Work experience can be paid, unpaid, or voluntary.
- One year of full-time work experience (30 hours or more per week), OR
- Two years of part-time work experience (up to 29 hours per week).
English Language Requirements for Successful Applicants:
- Only shortlisted applicants require English language test scores.
- IELTS: 6.0 with no band less than 5.5
- TOEFL: 80 on the internet-based test with a writing score of 21.
- PTE Academic: 50, with no communication skills score less than 42.
- Cambridge Academic English (advanced): 169 with no bands less than 162.
The Manaaki NZ Scholarship will cover the cost of the Language Test and arrange the test for applicants from specific countries.
