This fully funded internship is all-inclusive and the Commission covers all the expenses. The Blue Book Traineeship qualifies candidates for it whether they are undergraduates or postgraduates and they hold a bachelor's degree. Also under reserved quota are slots for candidates holding master's degrees.

As per the EU Commission's website, 650 individuals from various corners of the globe were chosen from a pool of 2,500 applicants.

Financial Benefits

Participants entering the Blue Book Traineeship Program in Europe are relieved of financial burdens. The EU Commission will provide:

  • A monthly stipend of €1,376, is disbursed at the end of each month.
  • Reimbursement of visa expenses.
  • Reimbursement of medical fees.
  • Coverage of travel expenses, including airfare tickets.
  • Accommodation expenses are not included in the Commission's coverage.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The EC Blue Book traineeship extends its invitation to all EU citizens, with a limited allocation of seats for non-EU nationals.
  • Completion of a standard 3-year higher education degree is required.
  • Applicants should possess no prior work experience.
  • Proficiency in English is essential, with no necessity for IELTS or TOEFL tests.
  • A commitment to work five 8-hour days per week, totalling 40 hours.
  • Entitlement to two days of paid leave per month.
  • There are no age restrictions for participation in the traineeships.

Required Documentation

  • A valid ID card or passport
  • University transcripts for completed studies before the application deadline

Evidence of:

  • Participation in university exchange programs abroad, EU or international initiatives, seminars, or workshops
  • Declared Language proficiencies (excluding mother tongue/s)
  • Declared work experience

Additional points will be awarded for:

  • Work experience, if applicable
  • Experience in work or volunteering abroad
  • Studies in rare fields
