Applications are now open for the EPFL Life Sciences Summer Research Program 2024, an intensive 8-week funded lab experience taking place from July 3rd to August 28th next year.

This fully-funded program is open to university students from all over the world studying biology, biophysics, chemistry, bioengineering, bioinformatics, quantitative biology, genetics, or other related life sciences fields. Approximately 20-25 participants will be selected to join labs at the EPFL campus in gorgeous Lausanne, Switzerland. 

Participants are set to collaborate closely with EPFL faculty members, doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and various scholars on tangible scientific ventures involving cutting-edge technologies, fostering firsthand expertise. Exploratory domains encompass neuroscience, cellular and molecular biology, biotechnology, biomedical studies, and an array of related spheres.

Moreover, beyond the enhancement of scientific acumen and adeptness, this stands as an unparalleled chance to broaden networks and engage in partnerships with preeminent global scientists.

Am I Eligible?

To qualify for the Life Sciences SRP 2024, applicants must:

  1. Be currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program related to life sciences 
  2. Have a minimum GPA equivalent to 3.75/4.0
  3. Have completed at least 2 years undergraduate or 1 year master's before the program starts
  4. Graduates in relevant fields may also apply up to 1 year after finishing their bachelor's degree

While a background in core life sciences is preferred, students from related majors are encouraged to apply if they have taken foundational courses like cell biology.
