Eligibility Requirements for AACR Research Fellowships in the USA
General Requirements:
- Hold a medical degree in a related field
- Applicants currently pursuing a doctoral degree are ineligible
- Enrolled in an accredited oncology or haematology fellowship program within a US medical, research, or academic institution
- No citizenship requirement
- Non-U.S. citizens must possess a visa covering the fellowship duration
- Membership in AACR (American Association for Cancer Research) is mandatory
- If not an AACR member, a membership application should be submitted before the application deadline
- Ineligible if employed by or subcontracting for a U.S. entity, or employed in the for-profit private sector
- Clinical fellows applying from a US government laboratory are also ineligible
Johnson & Johnson Grant Specifics:
To be eligible for this grant, applicants must fulfill one or more of the following criteria:
- Belong to racial or ethnic groups underrepresented in health sciences according to the National Science Foundation
- Have a disability or physical impairment that restricts daily activities
